Mexico House Build

Ministry Update

Back to Mexico

Syrus & I (Nick) are in Mexico this week serving with YWAM San Diego / Baja. We’re here with Syrus’ middle school class from the Learning Center, serving the community here in Tijuana, Baja California. This week we’ll be putting on kids programs as well as building a home for a family in need.

Syrus & I came early with his best friend & dad for a little father/son time before the trip started. We took the boys for some fun in Southern California & down to Ensenada, Mexico re-uniting with old friends before we met the rest of the team up in Tijuana.

We then spent the week up in Rosarito at YWAM's San Antonio Del Mar campus. Syrus's middle school class was part of Mission Adventures. Together with his classmates we helped build a home for a family in need, in the outskirts of Tijuana. Check out the video from the trip below.

Thank you for following our journey and for being a part of changing lives around the world.

OUTPOST PANAMA is on an island called Bastiementos on the Caribbean Sea side of northern Panama, up near Costa Rica. The house, with room for 40, is perfectly situated in the jungle, nestled among many indigenous Ngobe Indian tribes. Completely off the grid we produce power by solar, catch rain water, and are surrounded by lush plants, fruit trees, and 3 streams on 8 acres of land. There are no roads and our only access is by water taxis that run in and out of town a 10-15 minute ride away. When we were given this property it was perfect because of its proximity to the Ngobe indian tribes scattered along the river systems of coastal Panama. With much of the Panamanian coastline undeveloped it could take up to a week to reach these tribes by land. With our partnerSHIP m/v Making Waves, we can pull up within a day and start ministry.
